Sweat Lodge

Sweat Lodge Ceremonies may be available from early 2025 at our Ytre Sogn site in Norway, overlooking the magnificent Sognefjord.

Dates will be announced at a later time.

Introduction.

The lodge ceremonies will be offered with the exchange of a donation by participants. Donations are requested to cover part of the cost of putting on the work and not designed to generate profit. There is no overnight accommodation available for this work, although brining a tent is acceptable providing we are made aware before the date. We can provide some guidance for hotels in the local area if required.

Our lodges will be professionally run mixed-gender, non-nude ceremonies. Participants should arrive not before 12:00 and not later than 14:00 and should bring 2 towels and some loose (preferably cotton) clothing suitable for the lodge. Further guidance about clothing, along with other information will be given before the work.

Sweat ceremonies have long traditions in a huge number of ancient cultures and we do not claim to be from any particular lineage or cultural background. Here at the school we believe in breathing new energies into some of the old practices and re-establishing our connections to Nature and our great Mother Earth.

Come and engage in purification of spirit, body and mind in this sacred practice.
