The Circle of Life

24 February to 1 March 2026 at Rondane River Lodge, Sollia, Norway

We invite you into explorations upon inner and outer landscapes of mind, body and soul, approached in four directions upon a timeless circle and inspired by archetypical symbols of ancient wisdom.

The circle is held by Serpent, Jaguar, Hummingbird and Eagle, as energies exuding powerful symbolism to mirror lived experiences. Each relate to transformational themes.

During this retreat, Simon Chamberlain, Vivian Choi, and Viggo Johansen guide you through silent and non-dual meditations, precise body-based practices, storytelling, shamanic journeys, ceremonies and power dancing, as well as contemplative reflections and inquiries.

Four prevailing themes encircle our intentions and in re-questing we can find partnership with inexhaustible powers.

Serpent offers shedding of old habits, spent identities and tired old stories. She drives towards re-memberment and emergence from dis-membered states so often found in modern lifestyles. She reminds us that we can expand, leaving behind remnants of a limiting costume that no longer fits.

Jaguar en-courages a strong stance, so fears that have become dysfunctional can be faced and challenged. With his powerful and majestic frame, he embodies qualities of sovereignty, discernment and elegance. He moves between edge and centre to loosen any grips or strangleholds fear may have established upon us.

Hummingbird hovers almost inaudibly in our field, flying on her own wings with grace. She darts in to find her sources of nutrition, changes direction with meaningful precision and stops at will, becoming stable and exuding intent. When we listen with the heart to her quiet longings and dreams, we can be re-minded to include our own dreams and aspirations in the life we are here for, the life that is our birth right.

Eagle soars across time and space in effortless flight and sits upon the crown of the world tree as a witness. He takes us to states that exist beyond thoughts, emotions, identities and holds us within his powerful wings, providing shelter from cruel winds and weathers that might otherwise burn and cut our vulnerable frame. From this place, we can see more clearly and, from a resting point, claim again our places in the greatest and ever-present universal stories.
