All courses are fully residential in Norway and prices include accommodation and food, unless otherwise stated.
Hospitality is incredibly important to us, so food and accommodation are an integral part of the experience you can expect here. Accommodation is in our 100 + year-old farm house and is simple, comfortable and homely. Food is also prepared and cooked in the house and served to you with a smile.
The focus is on tasty, nutritious food with mostly vegetarian dishes, but with some wild fish caught locally here in the fjord. We cannot always use organic foods, but do try as much as reasonably practical. Teas, coffee, etc., and simple snacks are served during breaks.
We can adjust food to the more typical intolerances such as gluten-free, dairy-free and some other individual requirements and tastes. Ask before you arrive and we will do our best.
Training is cross-cultural, so methods and techniques are not tied to any particular culture or model. If you are looking for culturally specific work, our programs are probably not suitable for you.
Much modern western shamanism takes an approach sometimes referred to as “core shamanism”. During anthropological studies, some common shamanic principles were found across many different cultures. Such principles and subsequent methods are well suited to most modern practitioners and clients. In our modern era, time pressures upon people can be demanding, so methods used in core shamanism can be applied in adaptive ways in order that people can still benefit.
We aim to be clear about fees so there will be no surprises. Click here for pricing and options for all courses.
