This work is for people who have the openness and curiosity to explore what “shamanism” is really about. With so much misrepresentation of the word “shamanism” in modern culture, it may be surprising for some people to find a shamanic way of being has gentle, compassionate qualities and potentially infinite depth. Genuine shamanic principles properly and respectfully applied are capable of energising deep, meaningful, beneficial transformations.
Work designed to give a good introduction to some of the principles and methods used in shamanism.
We aim to demonstrate shamanism can be a useful way of working towards balance and harmony in aspects of life and that modern living can benefit from touching facets of ancient wisdom.
Shamanism is one of many paths in which a person can develop beneficial ways, movements towards the True Self and greater connections with Nature.
Certain principles, methods and techniques used in shamanic work are very common across many different cultures. We look into some of these and find how some of them can fit in with modern living.
The work is fully residential, so accommodation and all meals are included in the price. Meals are cooked and served to you in the spirit of hospitality.
After this, you have an option to train in more advanced shamanic healing methods, if you decide it is for you.

You practice moving away non-beneficial energies while attracting beneficial energies in spaces, as well as in and around people and Nature. This promotes workable safe containers and sufficiently harmonious environments in which to work and live.
You learn and practice this classical shamanic method also sometimes called Soul Flight. This is one of the primary tools of the shamanic practitioner and is used in many ways.
Journey work is most often facilitated by drumming and it should be noted that this school does not utilise psychoactive substances of any kind.
During journey work, the practitioner contacts and communicates with spirit allies who help with the intended work, for example for healing or guidance.
You learn some useful divination techniques which can be employed to answer questions. An advantage of asking questions using divining techniques is that answers come from outside of the self, in other words the ego stands aside to allow direct information to flow through.
Using journey work, you learn how to request guidance from helpful, loving, compassionate, teaching spirit guides. Practitioners work in partnership with these allies to meet the intentions of the work. In this school, we work exclusively in compassionate ways.
You can engage in work designed to identify and cast off aspects, habits, roles, expectations, difficult ways of thinking, etc., that no longer serve you. The techniques we use to do this can be repeated as many times as you wish, so that you become more and more clear of non-beneficial energies. This can help you move more closely towards your True Self, to become more whole and to follow your sacred dreams with fewer obstacles. These techniques can also be used for your friends, family and clients whenever it is appropriate.
